Since its establishment as a structural design firm in 1956, it has expanded its business in diverse field responding to the needs of the times while adhering to its founding philosophy: becoming a Professional Design & Engineering Firm that bridges academic and business worlds. Here, we will introduce its business in four categories. 1. Ensuring Safety and Security (Construction & disaster prevention): We are a leading firm experienced in structural design for high-rise buildings and special buildings using seismic isolation, vibration control and earthquake-resistant technologies. We also focus on disaster mitigation solutions, including building damage caused by disasters, evacuation planning and simulations of river flooding. 2. Accurate information Transmission (Telecommunication): Since introducing computers as a pioneer in 1961, we accumulated experience in development and simulation technologies. We work on a wide range of system development and consulting work that supports the mobile communications era, such as large-scale mobile communication system and radio wave propagation analysis. 3. Supporting Monodukuri (Manufacturing): We help with issues in the manufacturing industry using advanced information technology. We not only support to enhance the efficiency of design work using CAE or other methods, but also comprehensively support innovation in the industry from overall corporate activities aspect: logistics, quality, sales & management. 4. Scientific Decision-Making (Decision making support): Issues related to society, people and corporate management are caused by ‘ambiguous reality’, which is a complex tangle of a huge number of factors. We extract important rules from this ‘ambiguous reality’ to support our customers' decision-making. In addition to the four existing businesses introduced above, we are also currently working on developing new technologies and solutions and running our business on these twin wheels: existing business and new businesses. |
